Death & Damnation Fest 2025 Saturday 13 September 2025
The Death & Damnation Fest will be held for the first time in 2025! In the industrial setting of the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, some of the biggest acts in black and death metal will come together on Saturday, September 13th for a festival like no other.
Beherit are one of the most influential black metal bands of all time and will play a concert in Germany next year exclusively at the Death & Damnation Fest, for the first time since their formation in the late 80s. The second headliner also needs no introduction: Primordial is undoubtedly Ireland's biggest black metal band, who founded an entire genre in their homeland with their unique mix of black and pagan metal.
The Swiss blackened death metal duo Bölzer has long since ceased to be an insider tip since their formation in 2008. The sheer power of their live shows is hard to put into words; with their unusual line-up they create a musical form of structured chaos. Drudensang have also long outgrown their status as an underground band and are considered a permanent institution in the German black metal scene. With their uncompromising interpretation of traditional black metal and impressive performance, the name of their latest album, Tuiflsrijtt , definitely says it all.
Another rare guest are the black/death veterans Noctem . As one of the greatest Spanish representatives of the extreme metal genre, the band will present a deep cut from 24 years of band history in 2025. Rising from the Tyrolean snow, Asphagor are coming back to Oberhausen after 7 years and may even bring a new one album with them. Also from Tyrol, Austria, and for the first time in NRW, the blackened death upstarts Jesaiah will open the first edition of the festival.
Off stage there will be a festival-typical supporting program.
